To request a letter of support for ICTS resources, please complete and submit the survey linked to the right.  You will be asked to select if you want a letter from the ICTS PI (Dr. Winokur) and/or individual ICTS Cores (ex. BMI).  Please be prepared to include text as a draft letter that includes a description of the ICTS resources that are needed.

A PDF of your signed letter on ICTS letterhead will be emailed to the person you specify. 

A letter of support is essential for research projects for several reasons: 

  1. Credibility and Endorsement: It offers an endorsement from respected individuals or organizations, significantly enhancing your project's credibility. 

  1. Demonstrates Collaboration: It indicates that your project has the backing of key stakeholders, highlighting strong collaboration and support from the community or relevant partners. 

  1. Highlights Relevance: These letters often emphasize the importance and relevance of your research within a broader context, aligning your goals with community needs or organizational priorities. 

  1. Strengthens Grant Applications: For grant applications, letters of support can be crucial. They help to present a comprehensive picture of your project's potential impact and feasibility, making your application more compelling to reviewers. 

  1. Resource Commitment: They can also show commitments of resources, such as funding, facilities, or expertise, which are vital for the successful execution of your project.
