TriNetX Self Service Tool
TriNetX with University of Iowa Health Care provides researchers with the ability to securely explore limited, de-identified data from the Electronic Health Record. This is a web-based platform that allows the user to specify inclusion and exclusion criteria to find populations of interest. This tool is most useful for identification of patient cohorts for preparation to research. ICTS provides TriNetX at no cost to University of Iowa Faculty, Staff and Students. |

EMERSE (Electronic Medical Record Search Engine) is software that helps researchers accurately find important patient details like diagnoses, medications, procedures, and complications from clinical notes.
ICTS-BMI can use this tool to identify computable phenotypes built on these unstructured data elements. EMERSE is an information retrieval tool.
