Clinical Research Unit

patient care

The 20,000 square foot ICTS Clinical Research Unit (CRU) opened in May 2010. The CRU offers the physical space and experienced interdisciplinary support staff to conduct and complete clinical research at the University of Iowa.

What we do

We support high quality human subjects research and research processes that are integrated with UI's clinical and translational research agenda. We also make our research support available to research partners throughout Iowa.

We provide assistance with clinical research (Phase I-IV).

Research studies

Numerous clinical research studies utilize our Clinical Research Unit (CRU), supported by the College of Medicine, and our Early Phase Trials Unit. Others are carried out in hospital wards and in clinics, both on the University of Iowa campus and in the community.

By offering a one-stop-shop, we can galvanize institutional resources and encourage investigators to utilize the full range of our support services.
