Mentoring Workshop

The Institute for Clinical and Translational Science (ICTS) in partnership with the Iowa Mentoring Academy is sponsoring a fall 8-week Mentoring Workshop focused on junior faculty.

Goals of the seminar series

  1. Discuss benefits and challenges of both mentoring young researcher
  2. Working with your senior mentor while building a career


Sessions will be held from 3:00 to 4:00 pm in C44-A GH (Elevator BW, Level 4) on Mondays beginning September 16, 2019 and ending November 4, 2019.

Marin Schweizer, PhD, Associate Director of Workforce Development for ICTS, along with Scot Reisinger, Assistant Director of Workforce Development and the Iowa Mentoring Academy, will co-facilitate the sessions. Lori Adams, PhD, National Research Mentoring Network Master Facilitator and Director of the Iowa Mentoring Academy will also participate.

Attendees who complete 6 out of 8 sessions will be recognized for completion of Research Mentor Training by the Iowa Mentoring Academy.
