Clinical Lecture Series

Topics Single IRB Speaker Michele Countryman, CIP Research Compliance Director, Human Subjects Office The Clinical Lecture Series educates clinical research professionals on the basics of clinical research. There are also courses of interest on current and novel research. The lectures in this series will help provide a more effective, efficient and cohesive clinical research environment at the University of Iowa. Continuing medical education credit is available. 

TriNetX Training

Tuesday, November 12, 2019, 2:00pm to 3:00pm

TriNetX training This training will provide an in depth look at TriNetX and show you how to use the tool. We will go through building a study, searching for a specific population, and finally what information you gather from the specific cohort. We will also discuss next steps on getting data extracted for research. After this training you will have a thorough understanding of how to use TriNetX and what the process is to get data extracted for research studies. Registration Register here

REDCap Training

Wednesday, November 13, 2019, 11:00am to 12:30pm

REDCap Basic Hands-On Training This training is a basic overview of REDCap. We will go through the process of creating a REDCap project starting with instrument design, assigning users access to the project, repeating instruments, enabling surveys, project testing, and ending with production mode. This training will cover the longitudinal module and using smart variables to create more dynamic and context specific logic.  After this training you will have knowledge of advanced options for the longitudinal module and using smart variables.
