Translational Science Scholar Program

In order to better support the research community at Iowa, ICTS has recently created the UIowa Translational Science Scholars program. These translational science scholars will join the cohort of K12 scholars, and will  participate in the Critical Thinking courses run through the ICTS as well as an 8-week mentoring academy and monthly K-Club discussions. Scholars will hone their scientific writing, public speaking to diverse audiences, study design, leadership, and team science skills. Most of these activities will not incur additional costs, though the tuition for the Critical Thinking course or costs for attending appropriate national meetings would come from the Scholar’s home department. UIowa Translational Science Scholars will be eligible to apply for the formal K12 program.

Please contact Jamie Thrams (jamie-thrams@uiowa.edu) if you have late career trainees or early career investigators who you would like to join our community of UIowa Translational Science Scholars.
