2016 Research Week Poster Winners

Congrats to the winners in the ICTS poster competitions that took place during the 2016 Health Sciences Research Week.  Each winner received $350.

Winners in the Graduate, Medical, & PharmD poster session are:

Luis Vargas Buonfiglio (Postdoc, Pulmonary Dept.) for his poster entitled, "Smoking Increases Bacterial Growth and Biofilm Formations".

Weam Shahin (Postdoc. Dept. of Anatomy and Cell Biology) for his poster entitled, "Nox2 Inhibition Promotes Neurogenesis in Brain Stem and Spinal Cord After Stroke".

Winners in the Postgraduate Fellows, Faculty, and Staff Poster Session are:

Allison Cox (Dept. of Pediatrics) for her poster entitled, "Recessive Coding and Regulatory Mutations in FBLIM1 Underlie the Pathogenesis of Chronic Recurrent Multifocal Osteomyelitis". 

Behnoush Khorsand Sourkohi (Grad. Research Assistant, Pharmaceutics and Translational Therapeutics), for her poster entitled, "Implantable Poly(lactic-co-glycoloic acid) Loaded with N-Acetylcysteine Prevents Severe Post-Traumatic Osteoarthritis".
