• 2. One mentor should have expertise in biostatistics and/or study design.
• 3. One mentor should be a ICTS program mentor.
• 4. Mentors' biosketches
• 1. Each member of the mentor team must submit their 4-page NIH Biosketch which includes current funding
• 5. Three Letters of Reference
• 1. Letter from primary mentor
• 1. Letter must include assurance that the mentor has sufficient funding to support the applicant's project and is committed to assisting the applicant in submitting a K-award during the KL2 grant award period.
• 2. Letter from Department Chair
• 1. Letter must include the DEO's commitment for a tenure track faculty appointment when training is complete
• 2. Letter must include the DEO's commitment for 75 percent protected time
• 3. Additional letter from a reference who is familiar with the candidate's career and can comment on the candidate's commitment to research and potential for a research career.
