Collect blood into plain tubes and allow the blood to clot at RT for 30 minutes. Separate the serum from the cells by centrifugation at 1500 x g for 15 minutes. Transfer the clear serum to a labeled 12 x 75 mm polypropylene tube. Store at -80o C until time of assay.
The DPC Coat-A-Count Rat Corticosterone RIA or the ImmuChemTM double antibody Mouse Corticosterone RIA is used for the direct measurement of corticosterone in serum.
